WHAT IS A DEMON?
; an evil spirit; devil or fiend.
; an evil passion or influence.
; a person considered extremely wicked, evil, or cruel.
Demons were at one point human[/i][/b], who strayed off the beaten path, and have plunged in a world of darkness. So dark in fact, they gave up their souls in the process out of forfeit. These souls that are collected are thrust into Hell, into the renowned Pit, where all souls are gathered and tortured for centuries. It is said that times goes ten times as fast in Hell than it does on the mortal plane. A soul that is cast in the fiery Pit, to be tortured for eternity, begins to wear away the humanity it has left. It takes hundreds of years for a human to finally be worn away and made a demon. They lose their sense of conscience, and become one more demon to infiltrate the mortal land above them. Demons who have retained their human body can continue using what they have dubbed their "meat suit." Demons who no longer have a body, must manifest in a cloud of black smoke that is then cast down the throat of a human they wish to possess.
Demons do not have a known hierarchy like the Angels, but are often interpreted by the color of eyes that appear when a demon has possessed a human body. The level of demons are classified as the following:
White Eyes: Are the most powerful demons in hell. Demons who exhibit white eyes are often capable to withstanding an Angel's presence, even remotely waging a battle with an opposing Angel. Depending on the demon's age and strength, they can expell the Angel back to Heaven. White Eyed demons are often acknowledged through their superiority, and are regarded through fear and recognition amongst lower-level demons. These demons are always much harder to kill and/or ensnare. White Eyed demons can often possess other demons who are already possessing a human host, and send that very demon back down to hell.
Yellow Eyes: The second most powerful demon, directly underneath those that exhibit white eyes. Yellow Eyed demons are often impervious to holy objects, unless distributed in large quantities. Often when a Yellow Eyed demon is in the area, it is often received through the death of cattle, electrical storms, and temperature fluctuations. The power of these demons vary, and are not often met with a kind of respect and demand as demons with the trait of White Eyes. Yellow Eyed demons also tend to go about it alone.
Red Eyes: Red eyes are almost exhibited by demons who handle wishes and make deals with humans, lycans, and even vampires. These demons are known as Crossroad Demons. They can be summoned to make deals with, but those deals always come with a price. Most often, that price tends to be one's soul that is collected after a certain number of years. All the souls that are collected are placed in the hands of Lilith, and can never be broken. When the time is up and their souls are in debt to pay, the individual who made the deal is carted off to hell by hellhounds. Red Eyed demons have been known to possess the capability to resurrecting someone who has died, however this too, comes with a price. In turn, a promise made by a Red Eyed demon is always as good as their word.
Black Eyes: These are the most frequent in the demon world, and are the least powerful in the demon lineage of hell. Not all demons can cross over consecrated ground, depending on how powerful they truly are. But all Black Eyed demons are effected by holy water, crucifixes. Black Eyed demons must always answer to their superiors or face being exorcised back into the Pit.

DEMON WEAKNESSES
-- All demons can be snared inside a Devil's Trap. A Devil's Trap is a symbol drawn on the floor, marked with numerous symbols that traps a demon within it.
-- Most demons cannot enter a home if the doors and windows are coated in salt. They cannot cross the salt barrier, not unless a smidge of it is removed to grant them entrance.
-- All demons are susceptible to holy water. The instant holy water is dosed on the skin, it causes the demon great pain and discomfort. Holy water is created simply by having a rosary within it's surface.
-- Any kind of weapon forged with unique blessed symbols etched in it's surface, can become a very useful weapon against any demon, depending on it's strength and level.
-- Exorcisms, depending on the demon, can be used to extract a demon from it's human host and sent back down to hell.
DEMON GUIDELINES
[/b][/size]-- Demons are not omnipresent, meaning, they do not know everything that is going on or happening. They gain information through the same resources like the rest.
-- Only higher level demons, with yellow and white eyes, can expel an Angel back to Heaven. This can be done without a player's permission, as it does not kill the Angel, but rather ejects them from the thread. Lower ranked Angels are more vulnerable to this type of expulsion, than those who are Seraphim.
-- Humans after they have been rinsed clean of their humanity, and become demons, are immortal. They are immortal for the most part. Demons are hard to kill, like Angels, but they aren't impossible to kill. Higher ranking Angels have the capacity to kill a demon permanently.
-- Some demons have continued to retain their original human body, while others must go through the means of possessing humans in order to manifest. If their human body is destroyed, the demon itself is not destroyed with it, but rather left without a "shell" to nestle in. All demons in their incorporeal form as a thick black cloud of smoke.
-- Any human body that is possessed by a demon, will be impenetrable to damage done to it while the demon is inside. Once the demon leaves, all the damage inflicted on the human's body will catch up. If the damages are severe enough it has the potential to kill the individual possessed in the first place.
-- Anyone who plays an demon must play it with precedence, and not in a godly fashion. Demons take a lot of responsibility for the abilities they possess. The same standards do apply when playing a demon. If a demon is called into a battle, a logic-based turn is absolutely necessary. Demons who can pack a punch can and will damage an Angel, even if it won't kill them. This goes with powerful Angels who can impose damage on a demon. Demons can and will bleed. If anyone is seen abusing their ability to play a demon will be warned once to tone down the usage of abilities. If it occurs again, the character will be taken away.
